Use of Lock boxes
SECURITY OF OUR BUILDING
Dear Residents,
I am writing to address an important matter regarding the security of our building. Maintaining the safety and security of our complex is a shared responsibility, and it is essential that all residents remain vigilant to ensure the integrity of our community.
It has come to our attention that some residents may be using key lock boxes attached to common property to store apartment keys, remotes, or fobs. While this may appear to be a convenient option, it is strongly advised against for the following reasons:
1. Increased Security Risk: Key lock boxes can be tampered with or broken into, potentially granting unauthorized access to the building.
2. Vulnerability of Common Areas: Lock boxes on common property can attract attention and compromise the overall security of the complex.
3. Liability Concerns: The use of lock boxes in shared areas may pose liability issues for the property.
To help maintain a secure environment for everyone, I urge all residents to:
* Avoid using external key lock boxes.
* Keep apartment keys, remotes, and fobs in a secure, personal location. Ensure entry doors and gates close securely after use.
* Report any suspicious activity or unauthorized persons to building management or local authorities immediately.
By taking these precautions, we can work together to protect the security and privacy of all residents. If you have any concerns or questions regarding building security, please do not hesitate to contact the building manager or strata manager.
Thank you for your cooperation and vigilance in this matter.
Sincerely,
James Donnelly SM1 Strata Manager
